Studio Sonorous - Acoustic Website (2003)

Studio Sonorous was a Flash website designed and developed under the Six Speed Media brand, including original photography captured onsite at Studio Sonorous. The site featured a looping background track and composed of six short musical loops arranged in different orders to creat a song over 5 minutes long. This was done for bandwidth restrictions and to allow for dynamic ordering. Two versions of the site based on a single content file, dial up and full experience, were proposed but ultimately it was small enough and retained the intented quality due to these techniques. Each navigation button ("studios," "rates," "contact," "equipment") played a corresponding vocal sample when clicked. Hovering over buttons sequentially triggered musical notes matching the background track. An animated VU meter derived from the studio’s static logo served as both an interface element and loading indicator.

This project was notable at the time for integrating musical interaction directly into website navigation, an uncommon approach in early web multimedia.
